There are many different geographical areas to choose from in Costa Rica: from the flat, arid plains of the Guanacaste region to the remote jungles of the Osa Peninsula. Each is special, but Manuel Antonio/Quepos is unique among them all.
Every country has one or two of those "quirky little towns" and Manuel Antonio/Quepos is "it" in Costa Rica. Very small, but filled with an eclectic mix of Costa Ricans and "expats" from Europe, North and South America.

We have a large artist community and a lively music scene. Add to that visiting sports fishermen (Quepos is world renown), surfers, back packers and international tourists and you've got a very social and diverse community. After just a few days, you'll start recognizing the locals and others you've met at the beach or on a tour.
Manuel Antonio itself, is spread along the ridge top road from Quepos to the Manuel Antonio National Park (the most visited park in Costa Rica) and is surrounded by dense jungle filled with exotic wildlife (monkeys, sloths, toucans) and quaint little open air restaurants, bars and small boutique hotels (not the mega resorts). Some of the most expensive real estate and homes in Costa Rica are located in this area.
I'm Dave Houck. I live in Tulemar and own this company with my business partner, Mauricio Jara, a Costa Rican.
I first came to Costa Rica over 16 years ago on vacation. After exploring the country during many subsequent trips, I decided that I wanted to live in Manuel Antonio, so I built a home in Tulemar and now live here year round.
Most of our luxury villas are located in Tulemar, the only gated and secure, 33 acre jungle resort community in Manuel Antonio with private residences and it's own beach. We have hiking trails thru our jungle, food and beverage service at the pool and/or beach and paved roads (which may sound odd, but you will appreciate them!).
We're located right in the heart of Manuel Antonio, within walking distance to many fun restaurants and bars. There are many beautiful beach homes in Manuel Antonio, but a location in Tulemar is where you'll want to be.
